Kris
Bayne
Kris began playing the bass guitar in 1987. A
graduate of Georgia State University's School of Music,
he founded Orpheus
and Aphrodite Music and Photography in 1999 with
his business partner and wife, Terrilyn. Since then, he
has performed more than 500 weddings and special events
thoughout the Southeast. Making sure your event sounds and
looks beautiful is his priority. Kris is honored to be the
band leader of such a wonderful group of musicians.
Tyson
Farmer
Tyson Farmer has been playing guitar and singing for 27 years. He studied classical guitar at Kennesaw University, and jazz guitar at Georgia State University. His vocal abilities include the styles of Van Morrison, Greg Allman, James Taylor, Al Greene, Garth Brooks, and more. He has played solo and worked with a variety of bands and artists throughout his music career, including live band rap and electronica groups, numerous classic rock, oldies, country, and 80s rock cover bands, and even Dolly Parton and Elvis impersonators. He always likes to keep things musically fresh and fun, and is always looking forward to entertaining and being part of the next great wedding or special event.
Brian
Miller
Brian began playing drums at the age of six.
Since then, he has performed many various styles of music
including Christian music groups, original artists and cover
bands. Influenced by legendary drummers such as Buddy Rich,
Dennis Chambers and Terry Bozzio, he is thrilled to perform
the wide variety of music Band of Gold offers at every event.
Kris
Pugh
Kris has been operating sound and lighting with Band
of Gold and Orpheus
and Aphrodite Music and Photography for years.
As our chief lighting technician, his excels at making the
band look great. Kris is at every event operating the lighting
boards to make your event shine!
Thomas Lockwood
Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist, whose playing style includes rock, jazz, rhythm and blues, country and bluegrass. He offers a variety of sounds through expertise in guitar, violin and mandolin. His experience in the Georgia State University School of Music, years of playing in various orchestras, touring with several Atlanta bands, and frequent studio sessions ensure a great performance.
Kara
Strauss
Kara Strauss has been a musician all of her life. Her
first instrument is the flute which she's played for over
20 years. She began singing unofficially at birth, but really
spread her wings in the Athens, GA music scene where she
graced the stage with various popular groups. Classically
trained, but with a innate musical instinct, Kara has range
that goes from soul, to jazz, to rock, to rap. Her love
of singing is apparent in every performance and she's honored
to share her talents.
Pat
Strawser
Pat has been studying piano and music since 1985. For
the last 15 years he has performed, recorded and composed
music for a variety of different musical groups and contexts.
He is at home playing a variety of musical styles including
pop, rock, jazz, classical, contemporary Christian/gospel
any many others. Since 2001, he has concentrated his creative
efforts largely on recording, private piano instruction,

John Clark
John began playing piano at the age of seven and plays a variety of styles including rock, jazz, sacred, and classical. He composes, arranges, and records music ranging from original songs to backing tracks to fully transcribed rock band arrangements.
